How long is the course?

The course has 6 main modules, we suggest students to study around 15 mins every day, so students can finish one module a month, to finish the whole course, students need approximately 6 months.



Is the course lifetime access?

Yes, the course is lifetime access, so students can study at their own pace.



If I choose to study with Hanzi MasterClass which offers traditional characters teaching, will it be easier for me to learn simplified at the same time or in the future?


There are 70% of the characters are overlapping between simplified and traditional characters, when students are learning traditional characters, they are also learning most of the simplified characters at the same time.

And we do offers simplified form in our exercise worksheet in each lesson, in case students also wants to learn simplified form.

Some of the students in the program have already told us that they can actually read both simplified and traditional characters by studying Hanzi MasterClass!!



I'm focusing on learning speaking at the moment, does this course also serve to help students improve speaking Mandarin? Or should I join this course later?


According to our experience working with more than thousands of students, we can assure that learning Chinese character can definitely accelerate the improvement of learning Mandarin Chinese, even speaking since there're lots of homophones in Mandarin, learning how to read Hanzi is the only way to understand the meaning of sentences better than reading Pinyin.



Does SMART Mandarin provide any certification after the completion of this course?

I'm sorry, we can't and we're not eligible to authorize any official certifications nor can we offer any students visa for our online course students since SMART Mandarin doesn't belong to any government divisions.



Does this course also offer simplified character teaching?


Currently, our course is focusing on traditional teaching, since SMART Mandarin teacher -Katrina Lee is from and based in Taiwan. But we do have a worksheet which offers simplified character comparison in each lesson for our students.

And we're also open the possibility to extend our course by adding simplified character teaching in the future, but by the time we work on expanding our course, the investment for this course will be more than it is now.
